PLAYING FOR CHANGE
A ground-breaking initiative sponsored by Casio Music UK, in partnership with Premier League footballer Nathan Aké.
Playing For Change supports and promotes the unique benefits of music education by donating digital pianos to schools and colleges.
"I am so excited to partner with Casio to create the ‘Playing For Change’ initiative.
Learning to play the piano has offered me so many positives."

WE BELIEVE IN MUSIC
Learning a musical instrument can have so many benefits for children and young people.
From developing cognitive and listening abilities, encouraging creativity, developing social skills and fostering a spirit of dedication and determination, playing a musical instrument gives you so many life skills.
At Casio UK, we want to see as many young people as possible benefit from playing the piano, and want to help schools and colleges provide high-quality instruments for their students.
If you are a member of staff at a UK-registered education institution which deserves the chance to receive a free digital piano, this scheme is for you.
NATHAN'S STORY
Nathan Aké began to learn the piano during the Covid lockdown. Like many people across the UK, he found that learning a musical instrument helped to provide a sense of focus, an opportunity for personal reflection and a chance to learn a new skill.
After several weeks of watching online videos and tutorials, Nathan continued to enjoy playing the piano and realised that music and sport had several similarities: self-discipline, teamwork, dedication and regular practice are all important factors in both.
Playing For Change seeks to give young people the opportunity to discover the same benefits by providing free digital pianos to schools and colleges across the UK.
As featured on ITV, the first phase of our project began in Manchester, at the East Manchester Academy, which is a few hundred metres from the Manchester City football stadium. Six schools in the local area received digital pianos. As of April 2024, the scheme widened, inviting applications from across the UK.
