Casio Projectors scooped their first AV Award for Projector of the Year under 4,999 lumens for the innovative Core XJ-V1 product, an entry-level Laser & LED hybrid projector which took the UK education market by storm on its release in 2015.
After being shortlisted at the last five AV Awards ceremonies and receiving ‘Highly Commended’ accolade last year this is Casio’s first AV Awards win. The win highlights the Core’s competitiveness in the projector market, as it won against other manufacturers such as Epson, Panasonic, and BenQ.
The Core impressed the judges with its affordability and ease of use, without compromising on the quality of the image or brightness, all while remaining completely lamp-free. The success of the award-winning Core XJ-V1 among end users led to the development of a further three Core models which debuted at ISE 2016.
The AV Awards is one of the most celebrated and highly-regarded events in the industry calendar. Taking place this year on 30th September at the Grosvenor House in London, the 18th annual event achieved a record-breaking attendance of 1,200. This year’s awards also featured seven more categories than last year, bringing the total categories to 27.
Phil Clark, head of Projection at Casio UK said:
“To be able to take home an AV Award is an incredible achievement for us at Casio Projectors. The AV Awards is the most prestigious ceremony in the industry, and it clearly shows the value that our lamp-free projection technology brings to not just our customers, but the industry overall. The Core has really made a splash in the education market, with its affordable price point bringing the benefits of lamp-free projection to more users than ever.”
