G-Shock Bus Rocks Wakestock

London, July 11th 2008 - A double decker routemaster is not your usual destination of choice at a music festival, but for the stars attending this year’s Wakestock Festival at Blenheim Palace and Abersoch it was THE ticket!

Casio entertained music and wakeboarding stars with the G-SHOCK bus over two weekends with a mix of pumping house music, an ultra VIP entrance policy and the chance to view and wear the latest G-SHOCK limited edition product – just the kind of exclusive treatment the stars were after.

Groove Armada were amongst the first to take advantage of the buses presence in the VIP area at Blenheim Palace, partying before their set and well into the “wee” hours and the G-SHOCK bus continued to play host to a number of music acts at Blenheim Palace and Abersoch including Pendulum, Estelle, The Streets, Supergrass, Funeral For A Friend, The Blackout, Elliot Minor, Audio Bullys, The Hoosiers, Hadouken and many many more. Radio 1 DJ’s Jo Whiley and Zane Lowe also enjoyed the comforts of the G-SHOCK bus and Mark Ronson even had his haircut on board. Check out some of the best pictures below.

2008 marks the 25th anniversary of the original G-SHOCK watch and to celebrate this event Casio has launched the Burlington Project, a niche social networking site for electronic music fans. Not only that, but they have also created some limited edition timepieces and reissued the very first G-SHOCK to be made by Casio.
