Casio QT-6000
October 9th, 2006, London, UK -- Casio today announced enhancements to the QT-6000 POS Terminal
touch screen. The new features will give managers more control over their staff, stock and customers and
will simplify the workflow of opening and managing tables, splitting bills and issuing customer receipts. In
addition, the new enhancements will make it possible to issue customers with loyalty cards that can give
them a discount on purchases.
The QT-6000’s full screen table layout function has been enhanced to allow operators to view only tables
that have been opened by themselves when they log onto the terminal. The tables will appear as a different
colour depending on whether they are free, occupied, occupied with bill issued or occupied with spilt bill
issued, allowing staff to see at the glance the status of each table and manage them more effectively.
Managers will be able to see the status of all tables in the restaurant. When no operator is logged on at a
terminal, a screen saver logo can appear, enhancing the professional appearance of the business and
opening up further advertising opportunities.
To aid in the management of the restaurant, the QT-6000 can now be configured to make table number
registration compulsory when selling food items. This allows an accurate cover count and average spend per
cover to be established at the end of each night, giving management the tools they need to analyse the
restaurants’ business. It also ensures kitchen staff always know what table to deliver food to.
For businesses who want to offer a customer loyalty scheme, new QT-6000 features allow you to administer
a simple card system. The cards feature discount information in either a magnetic stripe or barcode. This
discount will be applied to the customers’ transaction whenever the card is shown at the point of sale.
Different customers can be graded and given different discounts.
Program maintenance of the QT-6000 is now even easier. The manager can easily make changes to an
item, price and description, without the need for technical support.
The QT-6000 also supports Wireless Waitressing with the ORDERMAN DON and ORDERMAN MAX.
Wireless Waitressing has numerous benefits for restaurants. It improves the professional appearance of the
restaurant, as well as improving customer service, speeding up food delivery and increasing the customer
value. By taking orders at the table and sending them directly to the kitchen and bar for preparation, staff do
not need to waste time running between the restaurant floor and kitchen and can focus on improving
customer service and increasing orders from customers.
The enhanced QT-6000 and ORDERMAN DON and MAX are available now from Casio’s dealer network
across the UK and Ireland.
