February 15th, 2006, London, UK -- CASIO today announced a new partnership with European Wireless handheld specialist ORDERMAN. The ORDERMAN DON, a powerful wireless handheld terminal, specifically designed for the hospitality industry, can now be used with CASIO’s QT-6000 touch screen EPoS system. Handheld order taking devices are proven to increase the profits of restaurants’ and the DON is the most advanced, reliable device on the market.
With the latest QT-6000 software a range of enhancements have been made for the hospitality industry, including a link to the ORDERMAN DON. The DON is a purpose built wireless waitressing solution, which utilises a proprietary wireless signal, making it more reliable than conventional 802.11b wireless devices. It is capable of being used at distances up to 50 metres away from the base station indoors and a massive 300 metres when used outdoors. And to ensure it works perfectly with the harsh handling and liquid spills that are typical in a restaurant, it is housed in a rugged casing which is water resistant and drop tested to 1.2 metres.
The CASIO QT-6000 touch screen terminal, released in August 2004, is already well established in the hospitality industry, due to it’s easy-to-use interface, large bright touch screen and sleek good looks. The link to the ORDERMAN DON makes it the perfect choice for the discerning restaurateur looking for ways to increase their profits in a highly competitive environment.
The CASIO QT-6000 and ORDERMAN DON are available now from CASIO dealers nationally.
